We are excited to announce that Borneo Nature Foundation has been selected for the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) Public Vote.
Twice a year, EOCA receive applications from conservation organisations around the world with projects that they would like EOCA to fund. Following a rigorous selection process, BNF has been shortlisted in the Landscape & Wildlife category for this voting round.
Please get involved by voting for BNF here and help protect the Critically Endangered Bornean orangutans in the Sebangau National Park forest.
EOCA funding will help BNF to address the causes of forest fires in Sebangau National Park by restoring drained and deforested peatland, and encourage positive behaviour change amongst local communities, while simultaneously tackling fire impacts by improving local firefighting capacity and developing fire-prevention networks.
As many of you know, forest fires are the primary threat to this critical ecosystem in Borneo and we need support to put an end to this environmental crisis that has affected Borneo for over 20 years.
Can you please help? It’s really easy!
1. Please VOTE online for BNF here. Scroll down and select Borneo Nature Foundation (look out for the cute orangutan photo!)
2. Please SHARE the public vote with your friends, family and colleagues, and post on your social media! The more votes we get the more chance we have to secure this urgently needed funding.
Please note: You can vote only once in each category per electronic device. Voting ends on MONDAY 21 OCTOBER at 12pm (BST / GMT+1)
From the BNF team – thank you for your support!
