Youth education and empowerment for nature conservation on Borneo

We believe that environmental education has a fundamental role in rainforest and wildlife conservation. It is crucial that children receive environmental education to nurture understanding, support, and positive attitudes and behaviours for the protection of the last remaining tropical rainforests on Borneo. Our vision is to create a generation of environmentally-aware people who are empowered to take action to preserve their natural and cultural heritage.

Our Youth Education Programme delivers environmental education to schools and communities living next to the rainforest. We implement a range of projects to engage young people of different ages and backgrounds. The mix of activities gives us the opportunity to approach complicated conservation issues with the appropriate teaching techniques. We aim to equip people with the necessary knowledge and practical skills to become ambassadors for positive environmental change and inspirational role models for their communities.
