We are a not-for-profit wildlife and biodiversity conservation and research organization that protects and safeguards tropical rainforests and the environment in Borneo.
The BNF family is made up of two legally registered organisations which work together to achieve our shared mission to maintain and enhance Kalimantan’s ecosystems, biodiversity and the benefits that these provide to human communities.
Borneo Nature Foundation Indonesia (Yayasan Borneo Nature Indonesia) is a legally registered charitable foundation in Indonesia (AHU-000405.AH.01.05). Based in Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, Indonesia it provides direction for and implements our conservation, education, research, outreach and stakeholder engagement activities in Indonesia.
Borneo Nature Foundation International is a legally registered charity in England and Wales (No. 1194359). It obtains international funding support for the Yayasan and research activities in Indonesia, provides technical support and guidance through its scientific experts, promotes our work internationally through outreach and fundraising events, and acts as a bridge between international universities/stakeholders and the Yayasan in Indonesia.
